Not your average run the mill wedding!

When I say it wasn't your average run of the mill wedding..... I quite literally meant it! We were delighted when Clare and Adam approached us and asked us to spend their wedding day with them capturing all the special moments, we were even more excited when we found out that the wedding reception was to be held at Quarry Bank Mill at Styal, a wonderful National Trust property near Clare's home town of Manchester. Quarry Bank Mill has a really eclectic feel about it combining the industrial victorian mill buildings of the most dramatic proportions as well as beautifully rustic gardens and surroundings. In the run up to the wedding, we got to know Clare and Adam really well so when it came to their actual wedding day we really felt like part of the celebrations.

The day started early for Jamie with the boy's meeting for a quick game of tennis at The Northern Tennis club to work off any last minute nerves.

I met the girls at Clare's childhood home and got a sneak preview of all her gorgeous accessories and the most delicate Pronovias dress I have ever seen. I was also bowled over by her beautiful flowers from Blossom Flowers that captured the country garden feel of her wedding so perfectly!

Clare and her two lovely bridesmaids chatted the morning away whilst they were beautified by the fantastic Laura from The Bridal Make-up Team who did a wonderful job of making the girls look radiant without looking too made up.

The men looked equally as fantastic in their suits and were soon sipping champagne before leaving for Clare and Adam's church The Ivy Manchester.

Clare slipped on her dress and positioned her veil and her look was completed. Clare had chosen a dress that really reflected her personality which brought out her natural beauty.

The boys walked the short walk round the corner to the church whilst Clare travelled in style in a vintage Beauford from Daventry Wedding Cars.

The church was packed with Clare and Adam's family and friends waiting to celebrate the happy couple making their vows. Adam waited patiently at the front of the church for Clare to arrive and couldn't help peeking over his shoulder when the music started to signal her arrival.

Clare and Adam were delighted to see each other and the ceremony was a very personal and emotional one which celebrated their love for each other.

As Clare and Adam walked outside into the spring sunshine to greet their friends and family, champagne and cupcakes were served under the blossom trees.

Clare and Adam really enjoyed their time in the secret garden at Quarry Bank Mill having their photographs taken. They were so relaxed after having their engagement shoot that we were able to get some fantastic portraits of them both.

The country garden theme was carried on into the reception and the attention to detail was just incredible. Clare put her heart and soul into making the reception room look stunning from the bunting and favours to the colour co-ordinated ribbons around the napkins.

Clare and Adam's day was just beautiful from start to finish and as we left the Bride and Groom and their guests dancing late into the night we really felt like we had witnessed the start of a special journey between two wonderful people that would stay with us for years to come.
