Kieran and Lucy's Wedding

A couple of weeks ago we had the great pleasure of photographing the first EVER civil ceremony wedding at the beautiful Scarisbrick Hall near Southport. We knew it was going to be an amazing wedding when we found out that Lucy's mum was the very talented designer Jean Ellis who's wonderful headdresses and hats have been featured in many bridal magazines and Vogue. Kieran and Lucy's wedding had a real 1930's theme running through and was an absolute dream to photograph!

The elegant theme was carried throughout from the invitations right through to the simple yet striking black, white and green colourscheme.

Lucy's vintage accessories complemented her amazing dress perfectly.

Both Lucy's bespoke dress and headpiece were designed and made by her mum from the remnants of her own wedding veil when she got married. The style suited Lucy perfectly and really took full advantage of the old saying 'something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue' and just to make sure, Jean sewed in some kisses in blue thread in the lining on the morning of the wedding.

Lucy looked amazing thanks to Donna from Cabello and Gemma from Beauty by Gemma .

Lucy's bridesmaid Rebecca looked simply stunning in her dress and vintage jewellery supplied by Jean.

Lucy and her Dad travelled in style to the church in an original 1930's car whilst Kieran waited expectantly at the front of the great hall for her big entrance.

Neither Kieran or Lucy could hardly stop smiling during the ceremony. They were so happy!

The great hall was the perfect setting for a such a romantic wedding.

The men looked very dapper in their black tie and was a cool twist on the more traditional morning suit.

The marquee was simply fabulous and really showcased Mahoods Marquees superb ability to transform a black canvas into a simply spectacular venue.

After the wonderful meal and the great speeches, the guest danced the night away on the dancefloor to a fantastic live band.

Many congratulations on your wedding and thanks for letting us share your special day!!
