Fun In The Sun

Nicola and Jonathan's super wedding at Shrigley Hall is fast approaching so whilst  Jonathan was back for the weekend from the army we grabbed the opportunity to meet up with them for their pre-wedding shoot. The weather was glorious on Sunday, well great for sunbathing... not so great for photos! Nicola and Jonathan were only too happy to find shady spots to sit in to avoid the glaring midday sun whilst we photographed them. From what we have heard so far, Nicola and Jonathan's wedding really is going to be one to remember!!!! Don't forget to vote for your favourite image below!

Nikki and Mark's Belle Epoque Wedding, Knutsford

From the moment we stepped inside Belle Epoque in Knutsford to do one of our first wedding fairs last year we were mesmerised by the charm and elegance of this quirky venue. We loved everything about this distinctive building from it's imposing exterior to it's cosy and romantic nooks hidden away. And as a sucker for original features their art deco interior didn't disappoint! When Mark and Nikki came to see us asking if we were available to shoot their wedding at Belle Epoque we were delighted and couldn't wait for their wedding day. The girls started off at Cottons Hotel round the corner where the lovely Suzanne Showman took care of their beauty needs and ensured the girls looked stunning for their grand entrance. The boys meanwhile led Jamie astray with bacon butties and a brew! After I had spent some time with the girls photographing their preparations I headed over to the venue to capture the last minute nerves from the boys. The ceremony was held in the most beautiful (and darkest!!!) ceremony room I have ever seen. It was such a romantic and intimate space with candles and fairy lights that I completely forgave the fact that their was very little light for photos! Mark and Nikki wrote their own vows which was such a personal touch. In contrast to the ceremony room, the reception room was flooded with the most beautiful afternoon sun and all the guests spilled out onto the room terrace to enjoy Pimms whilst Jamie and I whisked Mark and Nikki away for some couple shots on their own. Mark and Nikki looked incredible together and Nikki was pulling the most brilliant poses and thoroughly enjoying the whole experience! The food at Belle Epoque was just divine and the guests waited with anticipation for the speeches. Desperate to prolong his best mans agony, Marks speech was slightly longer than anyone expected and went into the story of his proposal to Nikki. It was fantastic to get such an insight into the occasion and Mark's story telling was hilarious. Once the best man had been put out of his misery and been allowed to deliver his speech the atmosphere was transformed into one full of anticipation for the party ahead. Mark and Nikki had booked the brilliant Under The Covers to get the party started in style. Once the band started playing, the dancefloor was flooded with people and the party didn't look like it was ever going to stop! We had such a great time at Mark and Nikki's wedding with their friends and family so were were really sad to wish them all good night, but we knew we wanted to be fresh for today's engagement shoot. Mark and Nikki are going on an epic adventure for their honeymoon and we are really looking forward to meeting up to hear about all the fun you've had when you get back!
