April Showers!

We get to meet so many great people through our line of work and Mark and Nikki were no exception. Mark works with one of our clients Adam so when Mark announced his engagement, Adam was only too pleased to recommend us. Mark and Nikki came out to meet us and liked us and our photographs so much that they booked us to photograph their wedding this June at Belle Epoque in Knutsford. Mark and Nikki live in Didsbury Village so that seemed like a pretty natural place to start and Didsbury library was the perfect place for Mark and Nikki's introduction to posing like the pro's. The weather was against us from the start and rain was forecast but Mark and Nikki were just great happily chatting as we snapped away and the big fat raindrops slowly plopped down. We always tell our clients that they will get out of their photographs exactly what they put into them and Nikki was only to pleased to put her all in despite the rain and happily sat in a field on the wet grass in order to get some of the shots she wanted. Nikki has to be one of the only people I know who can sit out in the pouring rain in a field and still look wonderfully glamorous! Mark and Nikki were just so natural together and we really enjoyed hearing about how they met and their plans for the future. Mark and Nikki's wedding is going to be so beautiful, and it is going to be so great to work with them again, especially with Nikki's beautiful smile and infectious laughter!

Easter Extravaganza

We spent Easter Saturday in the company of Paul and Lesley as they celebrated their wedding at their local church and then the lovely Farington Lodge in Leyland. The weather was exactly how it should be for a spring wedding fresh and warm and everyone was in a fantastic mood! Despite breaking his ankle a couple of weeks ago, Paul was determined not to let this stop him from making the most of his day and left his crutches in the cupboard under the stairs! The deep purple theme was beautifully striking and made the girls look really glamorous. The flowers from Flowers by Sonje complemented the look perfectly. Thanks to Victoria Sanderson's brilliant make-up skills the girls simply glowed. The morning of the wedding was lovely and relaxed and before long the two fabulous cars from Magnolia Cars arrived on the drive ready to whisk the girls to the church in real style! The ceremony was beautiful and Paul did really well to keep his emotions in check. After the ceremony, the new Mr and Mrs Marshall and all their family and friends headed off to Farington Lodge where they were warmly welcomed by the staff and glasses of fresh Pimms. Paul and Lesley were a dream to photograph and the grounds of Farington Lodge offered the perfect backdrop. After dinner the guests spilled out onto the patio to enjoy their drinks in the late spring sun. Lesley and Paul's day seemed to fly by and soon it was time for their first dance to one of our favourite Michael Buble songs which just suited the moment perfectly. After the first dance, Lesley and Paul had arranged a special surprise for their guests and called everyone outside to watch some explosive fireworks. The guests Ooohed and Aahed with delight and the happy couple stood together and revelled in the magical atmosphere of their day! Congratulations Lesley and Paul!
