That's What Friends Are For!

I just ADORE it when good things happen to nice people, and I can honestly say that Kirsty is one of the sweetest bride's I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I have known Kirsty for a long time now and for as long as I can remember she has been determined that I would be the person to photograph her wedding. For me that is a huge honour. For Kirsty her wedding has always been really important, but all the way through the thing that has been most important for Kirsty was her marriage to Mike. Kirsty also set out to prove that she could have the wedding of her dreams without it costing the earth. For as long as Kirsty has been planning her wedding she has been busy sourcing material, finding the perfect dress patterns,  making beautiful stationary, and grabbing the most amazing bridal bargains I have ever seen. Kirsty even managed to find a friend with a white car to be her chauffer for the day. We all knew Kirsty would have loved a proper wedding car, but being the lovely unselfish person she is she chose to not to spend the budget on something for herself but instead opted to surprise her new husband with a fantastic themed cake for her basketball fanatic husband Mike. The car that Kirsty planned to arrive at church in wasn't without it's logistical difficulties. Kirsty's Dad who was determined to walk her down the aisle after a long struggle with his health was struggling to get in and out of the car, the boot was only just big enough for his wheelchair and Kirsty's beautiful dress was quite a squeeze in the back seat, but she was adamant she could make it work. This is where Kirsty's lovely friends come in. They had seen just how much effort Kirsty had put in to making the day special for everyone else that they decided they wanted to do something special for her..... so they put their heads together and paid for a wedding car so that she could arrive in style. Boy was that a difficult secret to keep!!!  Kirsty had no idea of the huge surprise to come and as the excitement in the room built up on the wedding morning Kirsty did not realise what was going to happen next. As Kirsty walked through the lobby of the hotel to meet her Dad at the car her jaw dropped and tears sprang to her eyes! Instead of being crammed into the back seat of a white vauxhall astra, her Dad was sat in the pure luxury of a vintage Daimler Talisman. Kirsty's day was complete and she drove of in luxury to meet her husband to be at the Altar. Every detail of the day had been planned to perfection and apart from a little rain shower the weather was perfect. Kirsty and Mike had the most fabulous time, as did their guests who were still dancing the night away as we left. Many congratulations Kirsty and Mike!

Parklife

We really have had our fair share of wet weather recently, and Jennie and Mark's shoot was no different! Although the rain stayed off for the shoot it was as damp and cold as ever and not at all like the summery weather we had been hoping for! Thankfully, this didn't dampen anyones spirits and we met Jennie and Mark at the lovely Rookery Hall in Cheshire where they will be getting married in the very near future. As always, please vote for your favourite image below and Jennie and Mark will receive a copy of the most popular one! :)

The Italian Job!

O.K. I promised Jamie I would only post 5 photos from this weekends wedding on the shores of Lake Garda in Italy.... but with photos as amazing as this there was never any chance of me actually sticking to that! The full blog will be up in a few weeks time when Steph and Andy have had their U.K. wedding party as their slideshow will be played throughout the evening for the guests to enjoy. Here is just a little teaser of what is to come!
