A Tale Of Two Hemispheres!

Well my feet are absolutely killing.... but that is nothing to how Sarah and Jeremy's are going to feel after all their dancing yesterday! Their wedding at St Nick's church in Liverpool and then onto the historic Soughton Hall Yesterday was a thoroughly global affair with guests travelling from Australia, Singapore, Shanghai and Bournemouth to name but a few.

The bride's mothers house was full of girls (and one boy) brimming over with the excitement as Phoebe and Amy from Make-up by Lara worked their magic on the wedding party and the blushing bride to be. The morning flew by and before we knew it the amazing, Philip and Tony from Philip Armstrong Couture turned up to reveal Sarah's one of a kind dream dress and dress her ready for her special day.

The ceremony was just beautiful and the setting of Liverpool Parish Church was the perfect place for such a spectacular occasion but it really came into it's own when one of the Ushers sang for Sarah and Jeremy in a deep and powerful voice that just filled the vast space with warmth.

Jeremy is an Australian at heart having been born and raised over there but moved over to the UK and fell in love with Sarah so it was wonderful to see all of their friends and family united together for the first time...... all apart from one that is! Unfortunately (because life sometimes throws these curve balls to test us) Jeremy's brother Christian who was to play the honoured role of Best Man in the proceedings flew over to celebrate the wedding earlier in the week and was immediately taken ill. The replacement Best men who had been upgraded from ushers did a good job of trying to convince me that it was all an elaborate ruse to avoid the infamous Best Man's speech.

Sadly this was not the case and Christian had a serious blood clot on his lungs and was destined to spend his brother's wedding day stuck on a ward in a hospital less than 1 mile away from where all the day's events were taking place. Sarah and Jeremy decided that if Christian couldn't come and be a part of their special day then they would take their special day to him. The bride and groom, accompanied by the Australian side of the family descended on ward 7 much to the delight and amazement of the patients and visitors buzzing around the hospital corridors. Everywhere they went smiles appeared upon peoples faces as Sarah and Jeremy in their full wedding outfits spread their own happiness to anyone who wanted to share it. Christian was delighted to be included and even put on one of the suit jackets to pose for some photos.

After leaving Christian in the capable hands of Liverpool's finest nurses, Jeremy and Sarah headed over the water to North Wales for their wedding reception. The weather was typically Welsh with showers on and off but we dodged the rain and made it out into the gardens for some photographs. Sarah looked incredible and Phoebe was always there on hand to touch up any make-up or apply lip gloss to make sure Sarah was picture perfect throughout.

The speeches were incredibly emotional (it's a good job I always wear waterproof mascara!) and the guests all enjoyed their delicious food. As the night wore on and the light outside faded, flickering candles provided the perfect atmosphere for chatting about the days events.

As the guests made their way downstairs for the evening reception there were smiles all round and the party atmosphere begun to excite everyone. The DJ called everyone to the dance floor for the Bride and Groom's first dance and Jeremy and Sarah took to the floor...... no sooner had Sarah and Jeremy assumed the dancing position, Jeremy broke away and announced in a big voice that he had a surprise for Sarah and left the room to get it. Sarah stood on the dance floor looking utterly bemused as did the guests. Jeremy appeared... and behind him walked in Shaun Foster Conley of Benidorm fame (Sarah's favourite T.V. show) Sarah's chin literally hit the floor with shock before a beaming smile lit up her face.  Shaun sang their first dance... and then much to Sarah's delight carried on singing as the guests filled the dance floor for song after song all sung in Shaun's unique style!

The whole day was memorable, not just for Jeremy, Sarah and their guests but also for us. It was such a beautiful wedding and here are a few photographs from the day to show just how much fun everyone had!
