When Samantha and James announced that they would be having their wedding reception in a marquee in his parents back garden, we just weren't sure what to expect. If it was anything like our back garden it was going to be a VERY small wedding. You can imagine our surprise when we met up with them for their engagement shoot and went to see the space so I had chance to scope out some photo opportunities. As we stepped out of the back door we were greeted by the most exquisite sunken walled garden complete with central pond and beyond that a beautifully kept orchard. The place was simply bursting with charm and as Samantha and James spoke animatedly about their plans for transforming it into the wedding venue of their dreams we couldn't help but get excited! As usual in the north of England, the rain was pouring down but luckily the garden had lots of sheltered places to take James and Samantha's engagement shots. As we explored the garden and snapped away we stumbled upon a beautiful old orangery which had the most wonderful natural light and provided the perfect backdrop for some romantic shots. We even managed to take some shots by James's beloved car which Jamie absolutely loved! We can't wait to shoot James and Samantha's wedding next month and really hope the weather is kind to them! As usual if you want to bag Samantha and James an extra wedding present then leave your name and a comment below voting for your favourite photo and the most popular shot will be given as a 10x8 print!
