On Cloud 9!

Most Brides would shrink back in fear at the sight of the storm clouds we had at yesterday's wedding. Not Jennie! Jennie and Mark let us take them out for photographs just before the heaven's opened... not because they are completely bonkers, but because they trusted us. I'm so glad we have that kind of relationship with our brides and grooms. It meant that instead of photographs all taken against the same interior backdrop, they had unbelievable images of them in front of mean and moody skies (a wonderful contrast to their absolute happiness). Their day started sunny enough as the girls started their preparations in TPL in Nantwich where I met up with the bride and the bridesmaids to start documenting the big day, but it wasn't long before we felt spots of rain as we headed back to the gorgeous suite at Rookery Hall where everyone was due to get ready. The bridesmaids were heaps of fun and they kept both Jennie and myself entertained as the nerves and excitement built up over the course of the morning. Jamie on the other hand was kept busy with the boys down in the gorgeous bar at Rookery Hall whilst they tied their cravats, fitted their button holes.... and more importantly had a couple of cheeky drinks before the ceremony. Jennie walked down the aisle to meet her handsome husband to be whilst being serenaded by a string quartet, it was so romantic! After the ceremony, guest spilled outside to enjoy drinks and croquet in the beautiful gardens whilst we whisked Jennie and Mark away to do their portraits. When the time came for the guests to sit down and eat, every person breathed a huge sigh of relief. As the last guest entered the room the storm that had been threatening to erupt all day finally happened and the rains came pelting down. Jennie and Mark just didn't care though, as they waited to be introduced into the room as the new Mr and Mrs White they were just on cloud 9! The DJ kept the party going on late into the night and once everyone had enjoyed the same day edit slideshow we quietly slipped away and left everyone partying on. Thanks for a wonderful day everyone!
