Gemma and Dan's Inglewood Manor wedding!

This weekend has been a whirlwind of weddings and wedding fayres but we have loved each and every moment of it all. Yesterday's wedding over the water on the Wirral was simply stunning, and even though it was possibly the most nervous bride and groom I have ever worked with, they had a wonderful time and  were posing like total pro's in their photographs! Gemma is a real homebird, and when she told me I wouldn't have to travel far from her house to her Mum and Dad's where she was getting ready she wasn't wrong, it was in the next street. I can totally see why as well, if I had a Mum and Dad as lovely as Gemma's From the moment I walked through the door I was made to feel so welcome and it was a real honour to listen to Gemma's Dad rehearse his Father of the Bride speech whilst Gemma and her Mum had their make-up done expertly by Julie O'Neill. I am so lucky to get to photograph so many gorgeous brides, and Gemma looked radiant as she beamed from ear to ear with delight as her entourage of bridesmaids arrived one by one. Gemma and Dan tied the knot at a beautiful ceremony at their local church, then it was off to the gorgeous Inglewood Manor to celebrate their marriage in style. The weather was glorious and the guests spilled out onto the terrace to enjoy drinks in the afternoon sun whilst we whisked Gemma and Dan off to have their photos taken against the wonderful backdrop of the hall and grounds. The guests were kept well entertained throughout the afternoon and early evening by an amazing pianist and singer who knew all the classics. After the meal came the speeches, and even though I had a sneak preview in the morning, I was still pretty emotional when it came to Gemma's Dad's speech. Luckily Dan and his two Best Men had me in stitches with their tales of nights out and holiday mishaps. Once the speeches had come to an end the guests flooded back out onto the terrace and we had the slideshow of pictures from the day edited and ready to play for them as they relaxed in the warm evening air. The guests stayed out chatting for most of the evening and the staff brought out candles in lanterns so that the party could carry on way into the early hours. What a way to end a perfect day!
